The main content of the rotor structure design is the design calculation of the iron core (the synchronous motor includes the magnetic pole and the magnetic yoke) and the rotating shaft and the combination of the two. The dimensions of the rotor windings have already been calculated in the electromagnetic design, but some necessary supplementary calculations need to be made here. For the rotor of the rotary synchronous motor, it is necessary to determine the detailed structure, size and fastening method of the magnetic poles and yokes. For other rotor cores, the situation is similar to that of stator cores, except that the corresponding structure should be determined when there is an axial air duct. There are two types of combinations of rotor core (or yoke) and rotating shaft: sleeve type and bracket type. Which one to choose mainly depends on the radial dimension relationship between the rotor core (or yoke) and the rotating shaft. If it is a wound rotor asynchronous motor and a synchronous motor, it is also necessary to determine the structure type, size and position of the slip ring. When arranging the position of the slip ring, consideration should be given to facilitate inspection and replacement of the brushes. For wound asynchronous motors, the possibility of installing short circuits and brush lifts should also be considered. The other gears are sized as needed, but should gradually decrease toward both ends. In general, the shaft diameter of the transmission end and non-transmission end bearings should not exceed 0.8 times and 0.7 times the shaft diameter of the rotor core gear (or intermediate gear), respectively.

The structure and size of the end cover is based on the requirements of the ventilation system, the insulation distance of the winding to ground, the structure of the bearing housing (this is not required for the seat type bearing) and the stiffness and strength of the end cover (including those proposed in the process). .There must be a certain distance between the inner cover of the rolling bearing and the parts on the shaft, so that there is enough operating space when the bearing is disassembled.

At this time, it is necessary to check the relative position of each component, whether the necessary clearance or space is appropriate, whether the installation size and overall size meet the requirements, and whether it is convenient to manufacture, assemble, disassemble and maintain. After the final assembly sketch is completed, the subassembly drawing can be modified accordingly, and the part drawing can be drawn step by step. Finally, detailed and accurate final assembly drawings and final assembly dimension chains can be checked. When drawing a part drawing, it is necessary to determine the size, material and processing requirements of the part.
