What is the meaning of the AC motor?

An AC motor is an electric motor driven by an alternating current (AC). The AC motor commonly consists of two basic parts, an outside stator having coils supplied with alternating current to produce a rotating magnetic field, and an inside rotor attached to the output shaft producing a second rotating magnetic field. The rotor magnetic field may be produced by permanent magnets, reluctance saliency, or DC or AC electrical windings.

Less common, AC linear motors operate on similar principles as rotating motors but have their stationary and moving parts arranged in a straight line configuration, producing linear motion instead of rotation.

What is the information do you know about the Brushless DC motor?

①DC motor structure

Rotor: Permanent magnet structure

Stator: Windings, Hall sensors

②Start

Drive EN open to ground

③ Reversing method

Electronic commutation, brushless DC motors have no brushes and commutators, and electronic commutation is achieved through Hall sensors, which is also the origin of the name of brushless DC motors.

④Speed control method

Six MOSFETs are commonly used to form a full-bridge circuit, which is composed of a control circuit and a drive circuit. In terms of hardware, it mainly includes the following parts: full-bridge drive circuit, Hall feedback circuit, current sampling circuit, etc. In terms of software implementation, it can be controlled by a square wave or a sine wave (PMSM).

⑤ Advantages and disadvantages

The brushless DC motor has high speed and long service life. Almost all the shortcomings of BLDC motors are compensated by BLDC motors. However, the cost of brushless DC motors is high and the speed regulation is complicated, so unless a brushed DC motor is used, it cannot meet the motor parameters, and a brushed motor is generally used.

What are the characteristics of the AC motor?

1. Wound three-phase asynchronous motor

① Motor structure

Rotor: winding + slip ring (3);

Stator: Winding.

②Start

(a) Rotor string resistance speed regulation start;

(b) The rotor series frequency-sensitive varistor speed control start;

(c) Start of rotor series pole speed regulation;

(d) The rotor is started in series with water resistance speed regulation;

(e) The rotor string variable frequency speed regulation starts.

③ Reversing method

Swap the wiring of any two connectors of the stator three-phase

④Speed control method

Same as startup.
