The characteristics of DC Motor

The DC motors with different excitation have different characteristics. In general, the main excitation mode of the DC motor is the seperately excitation, the series excitationand the compound excitation . The main excitation of the DC generator is the seperately excitation.

DC motor features:

   (A) good speed performance. The so-called "speed performance" refers to the motor under certain load conditions, according to the need to artificially change the motor speed. DC motor can be under heavy load conditions, to achieve uniform, smooth stepless speed regulation, and a wide range of speed.

   (B) the starting torque is large. Can be uniform and economical to achieve speed adjustment. Therefore, those who start under heavy load or require uniform adjustment of the speed of the machinery, such as large reversible rolling mill, hoist, mixter，extruder etc.
